Swami Chinmayananda's Message

To mould the behaviour of an individual is to mould the character of the community.  This is what education strives to achieve.  I believe that we can give a purposeful direction to a personality even in the days of its almost unconscious early childhood.  Later on, no doubt we must hammer out for the child new extensions and open up new dimensions for its play in the society through literary, scientific and social studies.  Whatever the child is to be later on say, a political leader, an economist, philosopher, a scientific scholar or a glorious artist, his contribution to the society will directly depend upon his character and personality.

In our country today, we find that we have mighty intellectuals equipped to act and to serve.  Yet, everywhere we find nothing but ineffectual endeavors, crude confusions, a characteristic perversity, a suicidal indiscipline.  In short, the tragedy of our society today is the tragedy of our indiscipline.  I have every hope that you and the dedicated members of the school will tenderly supplement the lack of right home atmosphere under which the teeming children of our country are getting distorted in their general growth.

The present convulsions of behaviour that is observed in all levels of our society can be directly attributed to the unsavoury growth of the real personality in the children.  If your efforts can start a new movement of mental growth through this new scheme of giving a right lead for the inner expansion of the growing children, we shall have done a wonderful pioneer work in remaking a nation of ourselves.

Swami Tejomayanada's Message

There are three main aspects of education viz. imparting information, its practical application and the ideal unto which the acquired knowledge should be dedicated. That system of education which does not prepare its students to live their life in its totality is incomplete indeed. Academic excellence is important but it should be accompanied with the inner unfoldment of the students personalities as well. Or else, it would be a lopsided development defeating the very purpose of education.

Param Poojya Gurudev gaveus His vision of perfect education and now it is our responsibility to work for its total fulfilment. I am aware of the great work being done in all Chinmaya Vidyalayas and I congratulate them for the same. My special thanks to all teachers and principals without whose dedication the Vidyalayas could not have achieved this excellence. May Poojya Gurudev's blessings ever strengthen us to fulfill His vision.

H. H Swami Gabheeranandaji's Message

WHAT IS LIFE?
It is a reverent sacrifice - but only for those who can sacrifice themselves to truth.
WHAT IS LIFE?
It is a precious opportunity - but only for those who are courageous, determined and unafraid of hardwork.
WHAT IS LIFE?
It is a challenge with a blessing - but only for those who can take up the challenge and face it.
WHAT IS LIFE?
It is a great struggle - but only for those who can muster all their strength and fight to victory.
WHAT IS LIFE?
It is a heavenly awakening - but only for those who can battle against stupor and unconsciousness.
WHAT IS LIFE?
It is a celestial song-but only for those who have made themselves instruments of  God.
Without these attributes LIFE is nothing but a slow drawn process of dying. LIFE is what you make it to be.
It is not just there for the taking, but it has to be won.   It is a continuous freeing of oneself by oneself.
LIFE does not just happen through a whim of fate, and it has to be constructed.
