an awareness of this rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry amongst the youth of this country through focus on the classical arts, with their attendant legends, rituals, mythology and philosophy and to facilitate an awareness of their deeper subtler values. Its work is educational in spirit and character and locates itself in institutions only.
The main aim of SPICMACAY is, inculcating the spirit of service without expectation of rewards. Its main activities are Lecture-cum-demonstrations, Fests - a chain of concerts, Baithaks - informal chamber concert, Talks by enlightened individuals, Yoga / Holistic Camps, Folk arts & crafts, Virasat - performances and workshops in folk and classical arts, crafts, cinema, yoga, etc.
We being the member of SPICMACAY, are benefited by periodical programmes like lecture-cum-demonstrations, workshops, performances of veteran artistes. We are proud to inform you that we could successfully and meritoriously hosted the State Convention of SPICMACAY for the year 2007 and our children were exposed to the programmes such as - Gurbani, Sankabadan, Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Classical Vocal. |
Samanvayam, a carnival is organized annually in the school campus. Children learn managerial and other soft skills which paves way for holistic development. Planning, advertising, campaigning, time-management are certain areas which are learnt in an activity based method. |
