World Environmental Day was celebrated on June 5th, 201o. Saplings were distributed to students and teachers. "Go Green-Green the Campus" was the motto.
World Population Day
World Population Day was celebrated on July 11th, 201o to raise awareness of global population Issues. "Everyone Counts" was the theme for this year's World Population Day.
Yoga Classes
Yoga Classes was introduced to students of classes from 5th to 10th. Meditation and breathing techniques were also imparted.
Student Welfare Store
A Student Welfare Store became was opened in the Vidyalaya. Basic amenities required for a student is available in the store.
Investiture Ceremony
Academic year began with the Investiture Ceremony of the Office Bearers. Honourable Guest, Prof. P. C. Thomas, honoured the Office Bearers.

Seva Day
H. H. Swami Tejomayanandaji's Birth Day was celebrated as Seva Day.
A handful of rice was contributed by all the children coinciding with Guruji’s Birth Day and around 300 Kg. were districuted to poor families in Potter’s Colony close to the Vidyalaya.
Adolescent and various issues
A talk on “Adolescent and various issues” was conducted by Smt. Priya Raman, Psychologist, Mother College, for ther students of Classes IX.
Teacher's Day Celebrations
Teachers' day was celebrated in a dignified manner. Director of Education, Dr. G. Mukundan, honoured two senior Teachers - Smt. Uma Narayanan and Smt. Sumathy,. K. A., for their sincere and dedicated service to the Institution. Students conducting the whole proceedings of the School Assembly and thanking their teachers.
Orientation Programmes for Teachers
Orientation programmes for teachers are conducted regularly in this Vidyalaya which helps teachers learn the new concepts and empower themselves with modern tools to effectively enhance their teaching skills. CBSE Workshops conducted under the banner of Thrissur Sahodaya Complex in subjects of Science and Commerce as well as the languages was attended by the senior teachers.
Academic Assessment by CCMT Education Cell Resource Team
Academic Assessment of the Vidyalaya was conducted by a two-member team consisting of Smt. Gowri Ramakrishnan, Principal (Retd.), Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Chennai and Ms.Vijayalakshmi (Retd. Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Gujarat), Deputy Adminstrator - Education, CCMT Education Cell, Coimbatore.
Kathakali Samvardhini
“Kathakali Samvardhini” - is a new venture of Chinmaya Vidyalaya to introduce and train "Kathakali" as part of inculcating Indian Culture amongst students, particularly young children of Class VII, on a regular basis. Honourable Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, Shri. K. Radhakrishnan, was the Chief Guest and Dr. K. G. Paulose, Vice Chanceller, Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University, gave the Presidential Address.
Samanvayam 2009
The Annual carnival was a first hand experience for children at event organization and event management, organized in the month of December with students of Class IX and XI taking the entire responsibility of arranging the various game stalls and food stalls with dexterity and mental sharpness. The theme of the exhibition was “Wealth from Waste”. Children filled the auditorium with craft and art items alongwith flower arrangements. The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Nalini. B. Menon, Senior Trustee, CMECT. The euphoria enveloping Chinmaya Vidyalaya on Samanwayam is infectious. It reminiscences the inexhaustible talents of the students and the grueling hardwork put in by all members of the school fraternity.
Kathak performance by Smt. Mahua Shankar & team and Kurathiyattam, a folk lore, by Shri. K. Padmanabhan Nandipulam & team was organized as a part of SPICMACAY Programme.
Herbal Garden Development Project & Eco Club
Herbal garden launched in the year 2006, has more than 500 medicinal plants belonging to different species. Plants corresponding the birth star are an added attention. Amla saplings were also planted in the herbal garden.
School Athletic Meet -
The 32nd Annual Athletic Meet was held on November 16, 2010. Dr. G. Mukunadan, Director of Education, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, hoisted the flag and inaugurated the meet.
Mayookhasree 2010 Competitions
Mayookhasree 2010 Competitions held in our Vidyalaya on 20th November 2010. Shri. V. P. Iswardas, MD and CEO, Catholic Syrian Bank was the Chief Guest. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Thrissur, received the Ever Rolling Trophy. Master Issac Jose of Class XI-B has been adjudged as the Best Speaker for his presentation on the topic "From time to time, take a close and honest look a yourself. It pays".
Selection for State Football Championship
Kum. Unnimaya. C. S. of Class VII-C has been selected for the State Football Association Championship at Uttaranchal.
Kum. Unnimaya. C. S. of Class VII-C has been selected for the 7th Sub-junior Football Championship 2010 organized by the Uttarkhand State Football Association at Haldwani, Nainital, Uttaranchal.
Contributions made generously by children
We are the recipients of the Armed Forces trophy, for the 5th time, from the Honourable Food & Civil Supplies Minister of Kerala, Sri. C. Divakaran.
The trophy was received by Smt. Shoba Menon, Vice Principal.
