Onam Celebration 2023


August 15th Independence Day

77th Independence Day was celebrated with fervor. Chief guest Col.Suresh Narayanan, commanding officer, 24 Kerala Batallion(Bn) NCC hoisted the National flag "Jhanda Uncha Raha Hamra" was rendered. The chief guest addressed the gathering and delivered the Independence Day message. followed by a number of programmes of the scouts, guides, cubs and bulbuls . Patriotic songs were sung by the school choir and the tiny tots from the kindergarten enchanted us with a plethora of programmes.

Mahasamadhi day

Gurupaduka pooja and archana was offered to Poojya Gurudev HH Swami Chinmayanandaji.

Grand Parents day

In honour of the grandparents our Vidyalaya, celebrated the "Grandparents Day" on 30th September 2023. On this special occasion, children thanked their grandparents for their love and support.

Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kolazhy, Thrissur on 27th July 2023 was a momentous occasion filled with pride and honour. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, IPS Aiswarya Dongre, Rural SP, H H Swami Gabeeranandaji, Acharya, Chinmaya Mission Thrissur, Director of Education Dr V Venugopal, Principal Smt. Usha Kumari P, Vice Principal Smt Latha E T, Sr. Headmistress Smt. Bindu K and Headmaster Sri Madhavdasan K. In her inaugural address, IPS Aishwarya Dongre emphasized the importance of leadership and urged the students to embrace their roles with passion and empathy. Her inspiring words resonated with the audience, leaving them motivated and inspired to achieve greatness.

The newly appointed Office Bearers then took a solemn pledge, vowing to carry out their duties with utmost sincerity and to uphold the values of the school. In conclusion, the Investiture Ceremony at Chinmaya Vidyalaya was a remarkable event that marked the beginning of a transformative leadership journey for the newly appointed Office Bearers. With the guidance and support of the school, they are poised to make a positive impact and bring about positive change within the school and beyond. .

Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration

Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated in the school assembly on 1 st October. In connection with the Celebration 'Raghupathi Raghava' was sung by the choir group. Assitant Head Boy Abhiram Spoke about Gandhiji and the relevance of his ideals in the present day.

The children dressed as Gandhiji paraded the open stage while Gandhiji's quotes were given. A skit by the senior students on communal harmony was the highlight of the day, The principal addressed the children she has appreciated the students of STD XI & XII who have come early morning and cleaned the campus giving a day off to the cleaning staff. Articles and posters were put up on 'My Wall'.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas Celebration was organized on on 23rd December .Students wore red and white combination colour dresses. They brought cakes and snacks

Grandparents Day Celebration

Grandparents day Celebration: Grandparents have a special place in everyone's heart. Many of us still look for their advice when in trouble. In honour of the grandparents ourVidyalaya , celebrated the "Grandparents Day" on 6th January 2018. On this special occasion, children thanked their grandparents for their love and support.

Republic Day

The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor. Our Principal hoisted the flag which was followed by the parade of scouts, guides, cubs and bulbuls. Variety entertainment programs were organized which stirred the patriotic sentiments of the spell bound audience.

Children's Day Celebration

Children's day Celebration, held on 14th November 2017,was hosted by the teachers of the Vidyalaya. Teachers Day

Teacher's day was celebrated in a very simple manner by the students thanking all the teachers of the Vidyalaya. The students of class 12 distributed sweets to all teachers of the Vidyalaya along with a card prepared by the students. Principal Smt Shobhana Devadas and Senior Teacher Smt Sheeja M were honouredon the occasion of Teachers day for completing 20 years of valuable service. Students of class XII also donned the role of a teacher

Mathrupooja

Mathrupooja was celebrated on 29th september, It began with a prayer and our Headmistress welcomed the gathering. H.H.SWAMI GABEERANANDA blessed the occasion. Children performed pooja and prasadam was distributed.

Onam Celebration 2017

Onam Celebration was held in the Vidyalaya on 31st August 2017. Students displayed floral carpets in their respective class rooms. Vidyalaya teachers performed Thiruvathirakali, Competitions like Uriyadi and Vadamvali were also held for the students.

Mahasamadhi day

Guru paduka pooja and archana was offered to to Poojya Gurudev HH Swami Chinmayananda Ji by senior students and Students of class 9th donated books to an orphanage.

Sanskrit Day 2017

Sanskrit day was celebrated on 9th August, 2017 in the Vidyalaya auditorium. The programme was inaugurated by HH Swami Gabeeranandji .Our Director of Education Dr G Mukundan and our Principal Smt Shobhana Devadas addressed the students. This was followed by a skit and dance drama by the students.

Alumni Association Meeting was held on September 29th 2017 Mahanavami Day . Vice Principal Smt Shoba Menon, Head Mistress Smt Usha Prem addressed the gathering.

International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day was held in the Vidyalaya on June 21st. Smt Lata E T – Teacher Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Second Prize Winner in District level Yogasana Competition spoke to the students of class VIII on yoga and its importance in our lives. School yoga master Sri Ramachandran guided the children through a number of asanas, making it both interesting and lively. 135 students participated in the event..

Merit Day 2017-2018

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kolazhy Thrissur hosted her most prestigious Merit Day on 17th June 2017, in the Vidyalaya auditorium, to honour and recognize the dizzying heights attained by the students in the myriad aspects of learning , both scholastic as well as co-scholastic. Their proud alumna, Shri Arun K Vijayan Assistant Collector Mallapuram District, was the Chief Guest, adding a befitting flavor to the occasion. Chief Guest also released the annual school magazine "Chinmaya Dhwani" and the first copy was handed over to Dr.G.Mukundan Director of Education.

Yoga display by the students from UP section was a spectacular show. This was followed by variety entertainment programs that stirred the patriotic sentiments of the spell bound audience.

Farewell

Students of Class 12 were given a warm send off by the students of class 11 on 27th January 2017. Principal welcomed the gathering. Smt. Krishnapriya, Alumni was the Chief Guest for the function. Vice Principal, Headmistress and the class teachers gave inspiring messages to the outgoing batch. Chinmaya Jothi was handed over to the Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl by the Head Boy and Head Girl.

Annual Day

38th Annual Day was celebrated on February 7th 2017. Dr. V P Gangadharan, Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Medical and Pediatric Oncology, VPS Lakeshore Hospital Kochi was the Chief Guest of the day. Guest was given a traditional welcome by our staff and students. Vice Principal welcomed the gathering. Principal presented the annual report followed by the inaugural address by the Chief Guest. Head Boy and Head Girl shared their reminiscences. The formal programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by Headmistress. It was followed by a cultural fiesta by the students which was well appreciated by the audience.

Navaratri Celebrations

The Navaratri celebration of the Vidyalaya was a dance and musical extravaganza. Classical dances and music, instrumental music, bhajans and various cultural programmes added glory to the talents of the children. The two dance teachers of our Vidyalaya also presented a solo dance.

Mathrupooja Celebrations

Mathrupooja was celebrated on 10th October, It began with a prayer and our Headmistress welcomed the gathering. H.H.SWAMI GABEERANANDA blessed the occasion. Children performed pooja and prasadam was distributed.

National Ayurveda Day Celebrations

In connection with National Ayurveda Day Celebrations, Dhanvantharai Jayanthi was observed on 28th October 2016 by Ayurveda Medical Officers Association. A curtain raiser of this programme was held in our Vidyalaya on 27th Oct.2016.The programme started with prayer followed by welcome address by Vice Principal and felicitation by Dr. G Mukundan ,Director of Education. An introduction through power point presentation on 'Healthy life style and life style diseases' was given by medical officers. A quiz competition was also held in the Vidyalaya on the' Role of plants as drugs and diet'.

Kerala Piravi Day Celebration

Kerala Piravi was celebrated in the Vidyalaya with enthralling programmes perfomed by children on 1st November 2016. A few children recited poems in Malayalam which was an audio feast on this apt day. A map of Kerala state was displayed in which each district was decorated with different pulses and grains. .A debate on the 'Changing Culture of Kerala' was conducted by students. ONV Krupp's famous poem 'AMMA' was enacted in a typical Kerala dance form which was a feast to the eye and ear.
Three non teaching staff of the Vidyalaya ,Sri Mohanan ,Sri Ayappan and ,Sri Krishnadas were felicitated on this occasion by Director of Education Dr. G Mukundan in the presence of Principal, Vice Principal and Head mistress.

Children's Day Celebration

Children's day celebration,held on 14th November 2016,was hosted by the teachers of the Vidyalaya. Poetry in motion show was organized by the teachers of the Malayalam department.
Children – Our wealth and treasure" was a presentation where the teachers enacted different characters exhibited by children over years. Characters like smart, lazy, glutton, punctual, happy-go–lucky, eloquent, loner, book worm, nerd, pranksters, latecomer's etc. showcased themselves with suitable narration. The presentation received tremendous appreciation from the children.

Chinmaya Birth Centenary

The Chinmaya Birth Centenary celebrations grand finale was held in the Chinmaya Janmashathabdi Nagar near Neeranjali hall on the 21st and the 22nd May. The Chief Guest of the day was Justice A Hari Prasad of the Kerala High Court. Padmasree P. R. Krishnakumar, chancellor, Avinasalingam University was a special guest. Adv. Therambil Ramakrishnan offered felicitations. Dr. G.Mukundan, Director of Education, Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Chief Sevak, Chinmaya Seva Trust, Kerala, presented mementos to the dignitaries. Sri .P. Krishnakumar, General Convener, welcomed the gathering and Sri T.M Reghunandan, Treasurer, Chinmaya Seva Trust, Kerala offered the vote of thanks.
Eminent speakers like Swami Chidanandapuri, Sri Gopalakrishnan Vaidik, Sri Rahul Easwer, Sri Vijaya Menon etc. to name a few graced the occasion. The valedictory function was on 22nd May, the Chief Guest being Padmasree Dr. Sunder Menon. Acharyas, Chief Sevaks and all the teachers behind the cultural programmes were honoured.

Reading Day

June 19th was observed as Reading day in the Vidyalaya .The day began with the assembly where the students read out the importance of reading and its significance and influence in our life. Best readers were honoured in the assembly by our Principal. On the same day, the last period was observed as 'DEAR' [Drop Everything and Read].

International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day was held in the Vidyalaya on June 21st. Anjali Krishna – presently a student of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences spoke to the students of class VIII on yoga and its importance in our lives. She guided the children through a number of asanas, making it both interesting and lively.

Merit Day 2016 -17

The merit day, where in the Vidyalaya toppers of AISSE and AISSCE are honoured, was held on 23rd June in the Vidyalaya auditorium. Smt. Haritha V Kumar, Sub Collector of Thrissur District was the guest of honour. The Vidyalaya Magazine 'CHINMAYA DHWANI' was released on the day.

Birthday of H. H. Swami Tejomayananda

His Holiness Swami Tejomayanandaji's birthday was celebrated on 30th June 2016. A speech on the life of Swamiji was delivered by Shravya of XII A. The school junior choir performed bhajans which was quite enthralling. A group of students were fortunate enough to distribute meals to the patients in the Medical College. Birthday cards were prepared by the students as a sign of respect to their beloved Swamiji.

Fresher's Day

Students of Std. XII extended a welcome to the students of Std, XI on 26th June in the Vidyalaya Auditorium. Various variety entertainment programmes were organized.

Seva Day

His Holiness Swami Tejomayanandaji's Birth Day was celebrated on 30th June. School Choir Group renedred Bhajans. Greeting Cards prepared by the students were sent to His Holiness Swami Tejomayanandaji. As this day is celebrated as Seva Day, the "Oru Pidi Ari" collection was distributed to the inmates of Asha Bhavan, Thrissur.

Independence Day

Onam celebration was held in the Vidyalaya on 9th September 2016.Students displayed floral carpets in their respective class rooms. Variety entertainments like Thiruvathirakali, skit on Onam, speeches, Kummattikkali and Pulikali was held on the same day. Competitions like Vanchipattu, Uriyadi and Vadamvali was also held.

Ramayana Month

A month long celebration in connection with Ramayana month marked its beginning in the morning assembly. The relevance of the Ramayana month was introduced. 'Dasapushpam' were displayed at the entrance of the Vidyalaya and the importance of each pushpam in the form of poetry was rendered by the music teacher, Sreedevi Raj.

Teacher's Day

Teacher's day was celebrated in a very simple manner by thanking all the teachers of the Vidyalaya and teachers all over the world for their wonderful service to humanity. The students of class 12 distributed sweets to all teachers of the Vidyalaya along with a card prepared by the students

Sanskrit Day

Sanskrit day was celebrated on 18th August, 2016 in the Vidyalaya auditorium. The programme was inaugurated by HH Swami Gabeeranandji .Our Director of education Dr .Mukundan and our Principal addressed the students. This was followed by a skit and dance drama by the students

Hindi Day

Hindi day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya on 28th September 2015. Our Vice Principal inaugurated he programme. In connection with the Hindi day various competitions were conducted in the vidyalaya.

Keralapiravi

Keralapiravi was celebrated in the Vidyalaya on 2nd November. A dance depicting the Malayalam poem 'Kavyanarthaki' by Changampuzha Krishnapillai was presented. A group song on the importance of Malayalam language was rendered by children.

National Education Day

On November 11th the school celebrated National Educational Day to pay tribute to the great freedom fighter, eminent educationalist and the first Union Minister of Education, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.
A speech was delivered on the topic, Importance of National Education Day .The students were edited on the role played by this great educationalist and freedom fighter to bring developments in the field of education.

Children's Day

Children's Day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya. Assembly was conducted by the teachers. A skit was presented by the teachers to the students.

Christmas

It were arranged on 23rd December .Students was dressed up in red and white costumes. Students brought cakes and snacks. Christmas carol song was rendered

New Year

The students were wished and conveyed a message to start the year in a positive note including the right moral values in our day today life.

Farewell

Students of Std. XII were given farewell by Std. XI students on 30th January 2016. Variety entertainment programs were performed by the children following which various titles were awarded to the outgoing students.

Annual Day

37th Annual day celebrations was held on 29th January 2016 in the Vidyalaya. Shri S.S Thampi I.T.S, Principal General Manager BSNL, Thrissur was the chief guest. Vice Principal welcomed the gathering and the Principal presented the annual report. It was followed by the inaugural address by the chief guest, prize distribution and reminiscences by the Head boy and the Head girl. Head Mistress expressed the vote of thanks. It was followed by cultural fiesta presented by the students.
